The Division of Generalization of Judicial and Expert Practice of the Scientific and research institute of intellectual property of the NALS Ukraine was established in 2011, and in 2018 it was supplemented with the Center for Mediation and Conlation.
The main areas of work of the department are:
- conducting generalizations of expert and judicial practice, as well as other analyzes on certain areas of the Institute's work;
- conducting scientific researches on the most important scientific problems of fundamental and applied nature in the field of protection of intellectual property rights;
- participation in the development of proposals for improvement of legislation in the field of intellectual property;
- collection of scientific, methodological and reference information on the directions of the Institute's work;
- conducting of methodical lessons with employees of state and non-state institutions and organizations in accordance with the profile of the Institute's activities;
- participation in the preparation of manuals, letters, recommendations, reviews on intellectual property issues;
- conducting of informational searches and providing consultations on issues of protection of intellectual property and possibilities of forensic examinations of intellectual property objects;
- implementation of mediation and consulting in cases of violation of intellectual property rights.
The employees of the department take part in the organization of tenders, as well as conducting forensic examinations and expert researches of intellectual property objects.
