The largest IT companies in the U.S. ( ncluding Microsoft, Oracle, Symantec and Hewlett-Packard) may stop the cooperation with a number of Russian banks and companies. This is reported by “Gazeta.Ru”, referringto the source in the IT departments of some Russian banks.
This information is confirmed by the executive secretary of the State Duma committee on strategic information systems Andrej
Chernogovor.
Russian companies urgently seek alternative products that could replace U.S. equipment and licensed software.
At the same time, according to Mr.Chernogovor, it is not a big trouble for the Russian banking sector, as the major banks are
banks are ready to switch to the domestic software and to use Chinese or Korean hardware. More problematic thieese chades will be for industrial enterprises, which are much more dependent on the U.S. and European technologies.
