WIPO Lex is an electronic database providing access to intellectual property ("IP") laws and treaties of the Members of WIPO, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN). It aims to provide content which is authoritative, comprehensive and up-to-date. It also features related information which elaborates, analyzes and interprets these laws and treaties. It provides streamlined access to reference material of key importance for optimal information on the global IP System.

It should be noted that given the scope of coverage, WIPO Lex is a work-in-progress and some Member entries are still pending completion.

Members whose IP legal texts have been completed in the database are marked with an asterisk on the Search box. “Completed” means that all available texts of main IP laws, as provided by the relevant national IP offices, in all available language versions and in the appropriate electronic format, are posted on WIPO Lex.
